At Greaves Brewster LLP we can handle the registration and maintenance of UK and European intellectual property rights. This includes filing and prosecuting UK, EPC and PCT patent applications, UK and Community trade mark applications and UK and Community design applications. We can also provide infringement and validity opinions on UK and European intellectual property rights, as well as registrability and freedom to operate searches centred around these territories.
We have experience acting before both the UK Intellectual Property Office (formerly the UK Patent Office), the European Patent Office (EPO) and OHIM (OAMI). Our offices are within particularly easy reach of the UK Intellectual Property Office in Newport but we also travel to Munich to represent both UK and overseas clients in EPO hearings.
On the patent side we specialise in chemical and biochemical work. We are also happy to handle mechanical cases, and we have links with consultants who assist with electronic work.

Where are we?
Our main office in Cheddar is conveniently located close to Bristol International Airport and to the UK’s motorway network. It is also easily reached from Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway railway stations.
Based on the edge of the Mendip hills, this location offers an opportunity to see some of the more picturesque parts of England, and a refreshing break from the busy city life.
