What will it cost?

The cost of registering a trade mark depends on factors such as the nature of the mark, the range of products you want to protect it for, whether you want to protect several related marks and whether the Trade Marks Registry raise objections against your application.

However as a rough figure, you can typically expect to pay about £700 to obtain a UK registration for one class of goods or services, providing there are no Registry objections to deal with.  A European Community trade mark registration, covering up to three classes of goods or services, might cost about £2,000 if there are no objections raised to it - this represents extremely good value since the resulting registration covers over twenty countries.  Registration costs elsewhere can fluctuate and vary widely from country to country – we can provide you with cost indications for individual cases.

Please note that VAT is chargeable on all our work, except for official Trade Marks Registry fees.
